Who we are
Barriq Benefits Inc. (“Barriq,” “we,” “us”) is a Delaware corporation. Barriq is a private company and is not affiliated with the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Defense, or any state or territory agency. This notice covers the Barriq Benefits waitlist at barriqbenefits.com.
What we collect
Your email address; the date and time you joined and confirmed; the page you joined from; and the consent wording you agreed to. We also keep when we last emailed you, and coded versions of the links in your emails, so they work only for you. To stop spam and abuse, we also keep a one-way coded version of your network address. We delete entries older than 24 hours during our daily cleanup, and our spam protection provider checks your browser to confirm you are a person.
How we use it
To send you one email confirming your address, to tell you when Barriq membership opens, and to send occasional updates about our launch. We do not use it for anything else.
Who receives it
We share your information only with the service providers that run the waitlist for us, such as our hosting, email delivery, and spam protection providers. They act on our behalf and use it only to provide those services. We also share information when the law requires it. If Barriq Benefits Inc. is merged or acquired, the waitlist may transfer to the new owner under this same notice. We never sell your information or share it for advertising.
Site visits
Our hosting provider counts visits to this site in combined form, such as pages viewed and the type of device. We do not use advertising cookies. Our spam protection provider may set its own cookie to tell people from bots.
How long we keep it
If you do not confirm your address, we delete it after 30 days. Confirmed addresses are kept until you leave the waitlist. If you have not become a Member within 12 months after membership opens, we delete your address.
Your choices
Every email we send has a link to leave the waitlist, which deletes your address right away. You can also ask us for a copy of your information or ask us to delete it by writing to privacy@barriqbenefits.com.
Age
The waitlist is for people 18 and older. If we learn that someone under 18 joined, we delete their address.
Changes
If we change this notice in a way that matters, we will tell you by email before the change takes effect.
